the first thing he probably need is a complete medical exam to rule out any possible physical problem. after that i'd say counseling and anger management is in order. you cant fix him. only he can do that. i hope everything works out.

If so, individual counseling and meds.
He needs a shrink most likely.
Would be consider it?

he has just started counseling only problem is it took me leaving for him to go so i dont know if he is just doing it for me to come home and I dont know if i should go home im sooooooooooo lost
When faced with the reality of losing you, he probably realized he needs to take some action and make an effort if he wants to hold onto the marriage. I would keep living where you are right now (if that's possible) until you know he has changed for the better.
