Egg Retrieval/Transfer: Days Off?
I'm on Day 4 of stimming and being monitored daily. What did you girls do in reference to taking time off? I have enough days to take but I just want to make sure I use them wisely. I was thinking 2 days for Egg Retrieval, I'm just not too sure about transfer?

Re: Egg Retrieval/Transfer: Days Off?
I took off the day of the ER and the following day. I took off for the ET and the following week. (High-stress job----needed to stay as stress-free as possible!)

Re: Egg Retrieval/Transfer: Days Off?
My retrieval was on a Sunday and I went back to work on Monday.
As far as transfer... for my fresh cycle, my transfer was on a Friday and I went back to work Monday. For my 1st FET, my transfer was also on a Friday and I went back to work Monday. For my 2nd FET, my transfer was on the Monday of a vacation. I like 48 hours of bedrest after transfer...

Re: Egg Retrieval/Transfer: Days Off?
It's really a personal decision, everyone feels differently afterwards.
For me, I had to take of the day of ER because my RE does them in the morning.
I actually felt worse the next day (both times), so I always took the day after off too.
As for the ET: I worked in the morning (since I didn't know until THAT day if I was having it done) and depending on the day of week, took the next two days off (at my husbands insistance). The RE said I could go to work the next day, but my husband wanted me completely off my feet for 2 days.

Re: Egg Retrieval/Transfer: Days Off?
I took two days off for retrieval (day of and day after). I was really sore so I'm glad I did. My transfer was on a Saturday and I went back to work that Monday.

Re: Egg Retrieval/Transfer: Days Off
Interesting!
I think I'm going to put in for more time after the transfer and not worry so much about the retrieval. I don't know what I'm envisioning with this retrieval -as if its going to be surgery!?! haha.

Re: Egg Retrieval/Transfer: Days Off?
I was actually on vacation already when I had the ER so I just stayed in bed for the day. I was a little uncomfortable the next few days so would have to take lots of breaks. For the transfer I stayed in bed for 2 days.

Re: Egg Retrieval/Transfer: Days Off?
I'm taking off the day off ER as well as the next day, and for the ET, doc said at least 48 hours of bedrest, but hubby is saying longer (I'm not gonna argue this one) LOL!!!!
