Egg yolk only??
Does anyone know the reason why babies are only supposed to eat the yolk? My dr said once he is ok with the yolk, he can eat pancakes and such, and that has the full egg....just wondering what the meaning behind it was...

The whites are highly allergic.
My ped pretty much says it's almost impossible to completely separate the yolk and the white. If you've given yolk with no reaction, he said to to give a little scrambled egg with both yolk and whites and watch for any allergic reaction. I did it at 10 months.
