Eggs, good or bad?
Okay my Dh and I are having a little disagreement and we would like your input.
My daughter loves eggs. She asks for them about 3-4 times a week. She eats them scrambled.
DH says that is way too often. He is worried about her cholesterol. I think it is fine since she eats plenty of fruits and veggies and has a well rounded diet.
What are your thoughts?

2 a month? That sounds like a very small amount.
Dd eats eggs all the time

I think she means per week, my doc said 2-3x/week was fine.

Re: Eggs, good or bad?
I give DS eggs about 2-3x a week. He loves them and would eat them every day, but I try to limit it.

What is important is the overall diet...Eggs are an excellant source of protein...

Re: Eggs, good or bad?
I think the cholesterol thing has been proven to be not as bad as they thought 20 years ago.
I give them about 3-4 times a week too

eggs
Children from birth to age two should not follow the dietary guidelines that restrict fat and cholesterol, because they are in a period of rapid growth and development that is characterized by high nutritional requirements. Foods high in fat and cholesterol help them to meet these requirements.

Re: Eggs, good or bad?
DD gets them roughly 4-5 times a week. That's all she wants for breakfast (well, besides cake and ice cream ). But she's not a big meat eater (have to beg her to eat chicken nuggets) so I have to get the protein in her somehow.
