Elecare question
We found out today that DS has blood in his stool. The GI doc put him on elecare. We gave him his first bottle and he practically puked it all up.
Has anyone's DC done this after drinking this formula? He seemed not to like it at first.

no personal experience but when my gi taked about elecare she said that it tastes and smells nasty but babies get used to it.

Yes DS has been on Elecare since the NICU (he was in for 9 weeks). Took a little to get used to, but has been fine w/ it ever since. Oh and beware of the absolute foulest smelling diapers

My DD didn't have a problem drinking it, but I think she would drink just about anything! I saw a difference in her within the first day...her projectile vomiting almost ended and she stopped her insane fussing...she is also on Axid and that definitely makes her other issues better as well. I know a pharmacy in Suffolk that always seems to have it in stock if you need to get it quickly.
ETA: the GI started her on Elecare, but my insurance covered Neocate so we switched to that and didn't have a problem with either
