electric fireplaces?
does anyone have one? if so recomendations. i am thinking of getting one for the living room. i have electric heat so figure this would help a bit with the heating bill.

Home Depot has them or you can go to a "fireplace" store lol sorry i dont know any names. My FH said be careful though with the electric ones b/c the bigger they are the more electric power they use, causing your bills to be more (obviously) lol

We are looking to buy one also. I read some of the "related threads" about them and for the most part people seemed pleased with them.

You have Electric heat. and you want to use more Electricity to heat the house.
Can you get a Gas Fireplace it might be cheaper to run that

we had a propane fireplace with an electric blower. we sold it when we got the pellet stove but it really helped to keep the tempature up in our great room.

My mom has one and it lets off a lot of heat!
I think they are nice and would like to get one for my living room eventually.

do you think gas stoves are a better buy? i didnt even know they made them ill ahve to google it, it would have to be chimney/ventfree though.
