If so, FH failed it for History the first time by ONE POINT. I do not lie! but then he passed with flying colors on his second try.

It wasn't so much hard as it was foreign for me. I felt like I was unprepared. If I passed though (and I am not good at test taking) you will pass, I am sure. Good luck! I am still waiting for the state to issue my perm. cert. In fact, I just sent an email.

It was tough- covered a lot of info. I used to have a book that was to prep for the LAST and it had some subject area info in the back, it probably would have helped.
I finished the test quickly (shocked about two proctors on my way out) and really left having no idea how I did... turns out I scored pretty high so its not as bad as you think!

somehow I passed all the tests the first time around 
and I dont remember a damn thing about any of them

I took it and passed it the first time also.. there was a broad range of questions. If you go to the NYSDE website, it gives you an idea as to what to expect.

Honestly, I didn't find it too difficult, especailly being in the classroom. The only quesitons that I found tricky were art and phys ed. I wouldn't worry too much about it, esp. if you are currently teaching.

i took the elementary ed cst and i thought it was easy. I found the LAST to be worse.
