Elin Nordegren Gets $750M, Custody of Kids in Exchange for Silence in Tiger Woods Divorce
Tiger Woods is banned from letting girlfriends near his kids in a divorce deal netting his ex a record $750 million settlement, The Sun reported Wednesday.
The golfer agreed to keep single women away from daughter Sam, three, and son Charlie, one.
He can bring a new flame into their lives only if he marries her. In return, former wife Elin Nordegren ,30, gets the biggest payout ever seen in a celebrity divorce.
But she can never publicly speak out over his alleged flings with socialite Rachel Uchitel, reality star Jaimee Grubbs, porn queen Joslyn James and up to 17 others.
A pal said: "Elin is desperate to protect the children from the womanizing side of their father.
Tiger's alleged mistresses include porn stars, pancake waitresses, bikini models and nightclub hostesses. And they're still coming! Porn star Devon James is the latest to admit to a Tiger tryst.
"Tiger's main fear is her telling her story after he's rebuilt his reputation, sending him back to the gutter."
Swedish ex model Nordegren ended up with double the sum she originally sought, after her lawyers proved Woods, 34, was worth much more than the $1billion she thought.
Her friend explained: "Elin's legal team have done a great job digging up all sorts of assets.
"The price of the huge sum is her silence: no interviews, tell-all books, or TV appearances about this for the rest of her life -- even if Tiger dies first -- or she'll lose the lot."
The friend said: "Everything's signed. Elin is ready to file for divorce at Orlando County Court. She expects to in the next seven days."
Nordegren gets sole physical custody of their kids but they will split legal custody.
That means Woods will share decisions about their future -- so Nordegren will not be able to permanently relocate them to her native Sweden.
Woods -- believed to be building a golf resort in Dubai and investing in the Bahamas -- will be able to see the kids for up to half of each week.
He can renegotiate the custody agreement in five years.
The pal said: "Elin admits that despite everything, Tiger loves his kids and has been a decent dad.
"She is confident he will not pursue seeing the children that much, due to his work and lifestyle."
Under the no-girlfriends deal, only married women not romantically linked to Woods will be allowed around the children -- plus female members of staff known to Nordegren

I still can never wrap my mind around what anyone can do with that much money!?!?!?!?
As for the agreement, I don't think its terrible - with the internet and everything now, these kids don't need to grow up to hear of their dad's infidelities from their mother no less - they'll hear it from everyone else. For $750 milliion, I think I'd be able to keep my mouth shut too!
As for the no women around the kids.....I understand her point. However, does this deal mean that if he finally did find someone that he thought he could settle down with and get engaged to, that the kids can't meet her until AFTER the wedding? If that's the case, it seems a bit extreme. Again, I completely understand her need to protect her kids after the c r a p he pulled.

Yeah, $750 mil is a LOT to be sure. She can feed a third world country or 2 if she wanted to.
You can't put a price on the the loss of your family though, and knowing that your whole marriage was a lie. 
Happy and sad for her and the kids at the same time.

I'd say 'good for her' re: getting such a huge amount of money - He cheated and ruined their family - Sucks for him.
But I wouldn't say 'she deserves every cent' ...........for doing what?
Did SHE earn any of that money? Um, no - It's not like she married him when he was a nobody and helped to build his empire - She married him well after he became "Tiger Woods" the household name and mega celebrity -
I think his CHILDREN deserve to benefit for every single penny he ever earns - but I don't see how she 'deserves' it .........(although I am happy she got it !!)

She deserves it because apparently she holds the deep dark secrets that no one will ever know. She is being paid to shut up.
and of course live in the style she has become acustomed to and to take care of the kids.
He entered into a personal contract and he broke it. He needs to pay.
Of course, no amount of money will mend the emotional scars but I guess having to pay a boatload of cash can learn ya.

Nah - Again, totally rooting for her GETTING it - regardless of the reason. And I absolutely agree he needs to pay, and I'm not in any way, shape or form feeling sorry for him -

He really is so gross. I feel bad for the family, I would just walk away with just a normal amount of child support rather than knowing my husband is getting off on anything with two feet

So she is entitled to 3/4 of his money? I have so many problems with this. Sure, she got screwed and they have 2 kids but really 3/4 of HIS fortune? It is decisions like this that make me wonder why more people don't sign prenups.

I think Chelsea Handler said it best... It's not like everyone doesn't already know what he's done... so it's not necessary for her to talk to us about it. If silence got her more money... good for her!
I'd like to say that I can't believe he was hiding money from her... but from his tract record... I'm not surprised. Good lawyers she has there. And I'm glad she got a really nice sum of money for the humility he put her through. That's not even like Oh I cheated.. he literally seems to have had sex with everything that moved!! More keep coming out of the woodwork too. Just another reason we don't need Elin to talk... these girls will do all the talking for her!!

I heard that they signed a pre-nup, but she held out until he agreed to keep women away from the kids until he's ready to remarry and he's so desperate for her to keep quiet he agreed to pay this much, it wasn't a decision made by the judge. He must be a REALLY naughty boy if there are stories that are worse than all the cheating and possibly an addiction to prescription drugs.....

I completely disagree - Yes, he humiliated her, and the whole world knows about it - HOWEVER, when you marry TIGER WOODS, the whole world knows everything about you - it comes w/ the territory - and the fortune and the lifestyle, which I am SURE she has more than enjoyed. Let's be honest here, she was a freakin' supermodel before she married him, she wasn't exactly clueless Pollyanna from Nebraska -
Again, I am NOT saying she shouldn't have gotten the money - I'm happy she had awesome lawyers and she's getting a fortune for what he did - He SHOULD have to pay up -
It's just the DESERVING part that I have issue with. SHE didn't EARN that money, SHE isn't the unbelievable talent, businessman, athlete - His acomplishments are NOT her own. I don't see how she DESERVES his fortune just b/c she was married to him - But what did she do to DESERVE $750 million dollars ??
