It started at as Ellen's (her phone, her idea) and he was in front so he took it. I believe she was the one who tweeted it.
It was a really cute moment! 
I read that technically since bradley was th one who snapped the pic it is his picture. The rights to the pic are his...not ellen.

I noticed it right away
I said to DH look how huge her phone is.
I just got a Samsung myself so maybe I was more tuned into it.
Then when we saw all the Samsung ads it all made sense. Total product placement.
They sponsored the show.

I'm very tuned into cell phones lately because I was just in the market for one. So I am always looking at people's cell phones.
I am the same way when I'm looking for a car- I notice every car on the road.

Yes..I did hear this. Ellen said that Samsung would donate $1 for every retweet. Once I heard that I figured it was planned.
The good thing is they are donating 3 million dollars. 1.5 going to The Humane Society and 1.5 going to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Ellen's Selfie
This evening on one of those entertainment shows they were showing clips from Ellen's show, where she was showing 'backstage' stuff - and there was more phone action, and you could tell just the way she was holding the phone and moving it around was to make sure it was properly placed. The total opposite of the way a real person would take a selfie.

This is great to hear! I don't mind product placement if the by-product of it is so positive. I didn't think the selfie was funny (don't think it was supposed to be), but it did look like they were having a lot of fun!
