Emigrant Direct or ING savings?
Anyone have an Emigrant Direct savings account? I hear a lot about ING orange savings accounts but haven't heard any feedback about Emigrant. Emigrant's rate right now is higher - 5.05 as opposed to INGs 4.40.

my wedding fund is with emigrant. I've never had a problem!

We use HSBC - which is 5.05% now as well. It is usually a higher rate than ING direct

We Orange but then noticed that Citibank Esavings was giving a higher rate. No problems with either one.

Use too. We found that they had the highest rate at the time we started ours.

We have citi, but I think they have changed the terms of the account. I think you have to have $25,000 minimum to get the 5%.

I just looked at the Citi website and it says no minimum
I saw an add in the paper that said it was 5% on 25k or more and there was no minimum to open the account, but you got a lesser percentage as your minimum went down. but I don't see that reflected anywhere on the web site....
hopefully it didn't change.

We have an e-savings with Citi. I don't have 25K in there and upon my last check it was 5%..it may be a little higher.
You have to have a checking account to link it to..maybe that's the catch?

We went with HSBC online because the rate is higher than ING, it's over 5%, not sure of the specific rate.
