Empire plan insurance
Does anyone else have the new state employee empire plan insurance?
If so, can you please recommend your RE?
I am looking for reviews on the differents centers of excellence.

Re: Empire plan insurance
I have the empire plan and see Dr. Braverman. You don't have to go to a Center of Excellence to be covered. If you go to a COE, you don't have copays, which could still add up. Otherwise, if the doc is in the plan, your IF treatment is still covered, just pay copays.
I used to go to Long Island IVF and see Dr. Brenner. They are a COE. Lots of other women here use them and are very happy and have had success. Good luck!

Re: Empire plan insurance
I have Empire and used Long Island IVF which is a Center of Excellence. No copayments, no lab fees, etc. I got pregnant on first IVF attempt with Dr. Brenner. Best of luck!

Re: Empire plan insurance
I also have Empire and go to LI IVF since it's a COE. The copays can add up, especially going for frequent monitoring. It was a big deciding factor for us.
good luck!

Re: Empire plan insurance
We used RSofNY. The no copay was HUGE. Also RSofNY must have a reduced rate because my IVF cycles were only 6500 so even after 5 cycles we still have money left over from our 50K max

Couldn't agree with all of this more. I, too, saw Dr. Brenner (and Dr. Kenigsberg) and LI IVF and then saw Dr. Braverman. He's great!
Lots of luck to you! And you have GREAT coverage!
