I've never been there for a party, but when we lived in Nesconset DH and I would order from there all the time. The food is amazing.

I've eaten at the one in Syosset a few times. Its always good food!

The food is good, but I think the ambiance is really lacking. If you want good Asian food with a nicer interior maybe try Orchid in Garden City.

I had my bridal shower at The Orchid - and it was a hit - many of the people said it was their favorite chinese restaurant. It is very reasonable priced from what I have seen for parties. A couple of the people at the shower had been their for other parties (showers, rehearsal dinners etc). They have a private room/area and although it is not buffet it is family style with the plates put on lazy susans on each table.
