English Bulldog Found in Sayville (HE'S HOME!)
DH and I found an English Bulldog wandering in front of our house about an hour ago. He has no tags.
Help/advice needed.
ETA: We wound up calling Islip Animal Shelter who came and picked him up. We also got in touch with the Long Island Bulldog Rescue who will be following up on his situation at the shelter. DH and I will also be keeping tabs on the situation.
UPDATE: 10/7
THEY WERE ABLE TO LOCATE HIS OWNERS... HE'S HOME SAFE AND SOUND!

is he safe in your backyard?? I would call animal control. They can bring him back to the shelter and see if he has a chip.

Islip Town Shelter will come and pick him up if you call them. The owners won't be able to claim him today because they are closed.
They will give you a case # and you can call and check up on him.
I found a Golden 2 years ago in Sayville on a Sunday and did this.

DH called the animal shelter today and the dog is back at home! He belonged to someone in my neighborhood but it was pretty far away for him to wander!
