Especially Cranky Question?
So DS has been especially cranky the last couple of days.
He doesn't have a fever, he's not sick.
He is 5 months and I can't feel any teeth coming in, but for those of you who's DC got teeth, could he be especially cranky from teething?
Even if there is no visible evidence of teeth yet? If your DC was cranky from teething, how much during the day did it affect them?
I am just racking my brain trying to figure out why he is such a crank-puss lately. Hmmmmmm!

With teething... Once you see the teeth, the worst part of the pain is over with. So yeah, he can be totally cranky because he is teething - Even if you don't see anything.

Re: Especially Cranky Question?
he could have an ear infection. I was having the crankiness problem with Madison and we went to the Dr. and sure enough she had an ear infection AND her two top teeth are coming in....it might be worth a trip to the Ped

Are there any other symptoms for an ear infection to look for? I haven't noticed him doing anything different.

Absolutely. I bet ya that's what it is. I really didn't do anything about it though. Is he biting things a lot? Is he drooling what seems like pools of saliva? If so...then I would say...give him some tylenol. If not, he may still be teething, but I would wait it out.

Yeah, he goes through several bibs a day as he is soaking through them. He always either has his hands or something else in his mouth chewing on them... I'll call the doc to be sure tomorrow if he is still the same.

Re: Especially Cranky Question?
Thanks for posting this!
My DS just turned 5 months on Tuesday and he has been unusally cranky for about 1.5 weeks now too. He was just at the doctor for a cold so I know he doesn't have an ear infection, I'm wondering if it's teething too.
If it's teething, what can I do to make him feel better?

If I find out... I'll be sure to let you know! I'm going to call the pediatrician tomorrow if he is still cranky. We'll see!
