Question for you all about the baby's movement - Especially those at or around 30 Weeks.

I know this varies ALOT person to person but, I am posting this question because this is something I worry about CONSTANTLY. How often do you feel your baby move at 30 weeks? From reading on here I feel like I should be feeling the baby all day every day and I am not - this is what I feel -

Some days - alot of movement - for me, that means a few times an hour - not constant but sometimes for a period of time he will move alot and then not so much for the rest of the hour.

Other days (which are more frequent then the above) I feel him once an hour if that. And even then, it might just be a wave where I feel the body parts move - not an actual kick.

Sometimes I will not feel him at all for several hours and then just a few movements at the end of the day and that may be it for the day.

Also, when I am active I hardly notice him at all - the above is mostly when I am sitting or lying down paying attention to the movements.

Thanks ladies in advance for your input Chat Icon

At 30 weeks & up until maybe this week (39) I felt baby move a LOT...at one point my dr. had me monitor baby's movements b/c my fluid was low & I'd almost always get the 10 movements w/i 15 minutes or so. Of course this wasn't constant throughout the day, but there were always more active times than others.

If you're concerned, I would mention it to your dr. Of course everyone is different too!

Thank you. See this is what worries me because I hardly feel the baby that much. I spoke to my dr. about it very briefly at my visit two weeks ago and had a sono and everything looked good but as the weeks go on I get more anxious about it. I will ask him again at my appt next week. thanks again.

I'm 29 weeks and I feel the same way. The past week I have felt more movement than usual, but it varies from day to day. I tend to feel more at night when I lay down, but it doesn't always happen.

It could depend on where the placenta attached, you may not feel the baby as much.

At 30 weeks you won't feel kicks anymore, at least I didn't with either of my pg's. 3rd trimester I kinda feel more rolls than anything.

Do you move around alot during the day?

The more you move, you lull the baby to sleep.

I hardly feel this baby at all during the day cause I am chasing my 1 year old around and I am constantly moving.

If you have any concerns, def talk to your doc to go for tests. They'll prob do a non stress test.

Re: Question for you all about the baby's movement - Especially those at or around 30 Weeks.

im 34 weeks tomorrow, and it really depends on what im doing. Sometimes im so busy that i dont think about it and i dont know if he is moving or not. Some days he is just lazier than others. Today is an active day, tomorrow he will probably be pooped. i do worry sometimes, b/c on lazy days, hours can go by and i dont feel anything. the movement changed for me around 30-32 weeks, it wasnt sharp jabs anymore, it was more like rolls and pushing.
If you are worried, call your dr. its worth the peice of mind.

This little guy is very active...I feel him a lot when Im sitting or lying down..Ive only just started really feeling him while Im standing up or walking around.

This is my 6th child and my 4th pregnancy and I can honestly tell you that some babies are just more active than others.

My eldest daughter was more of a strechter than a kicker. It was almost like she was always looking for a comfortable spot...My twin daughers moved a lot but I only really felt big kicks when they were fighting for room!

I'll be 32 weeks tomorrow, and I am the same way...I try not to worry as long as I feel SOMETHING each day...and all of the sonos and check-ups have been perfect so far...Chat Icon
