LOL, some tips for researching 
1. See if they answered the ornament swap question thread.
2. Read their profile.
3. Look back at their old posts to see if you can find out more about their interests, ex. do they love NASCAR, do they love to cook, do they have children, pets, etc.
The nice thing about this swap is it allows you to get to know another poster a little better.
