I have a TON of newborn handmedowns from friends, so I really didn't need any more clothes. But, people LOVE to buy them and I completely understand that so I got a bunch for my shower.

I live OOS so the actual store may differ that you go to, but my experience at BRU and Target returning items without a receipt was great.

BRU looked up my registry and then went through the pile of clothes. There were a few that they didn't sell there so she just gave it back to me (I was expecting a judgemental look but I guess they get this all of the time). The rest I got really good prices for and was very pleased. There was one item that would have only gotten $2 so she asked me if I just wanted to keep it which was really great.

These boards scared me about trying to return things at Target without a receipt but that went well too. She said "the best i can offer you is store credit" which was fine by me. All items returned at great prices.

Just a heads up, I know it was something I was concerned about...
