Excessing question..
Two people in the same license with the same amount of seniority. One has an appointment date that is a year (or two) earlier but due to child care leave they have the same amount of years completed.
If one were to be excessed would it be determined based on building seniority ? Would they look at the appointment date? Is it the Principal's choice?
thanks

Re: Excessing question..
There is no "building senioroty." It is entirely dependant on time in the DOE (# of years, months, and days). You don't accrue these days while out on leave.
Call your district union rep, not just the one for the building.

I agree with above poster. It goes down to the very day and child care leave doesn't give you time. It's based on time worked.
