Executive Assistant & Salary

How much salary annually for an executive assistant to a small professional firm on Long Island do you think is reasonable? Job duties would include scheduling appointments, phones / email, light date entry and other clerical functions. Bachelors not required, some previous office experience helpful.

Re: Executive Assistant & Salary

$30s especially if no degree, and benefits are included.

I know of places that would go even lower so I think this is fair.

From what you described that doesnt sound like an executive assistant. Sound like a regular admin. I know the EAs where I work make in the 80s. These are people who work for the CEO, CFO etc.

Agree with above. Your description is more of an Admin role Exec Assts usually report to senior level execs and make upwards of $80K.

Re: Executive Assistant & Salary

It sounds like a more junior role with experience between 3-5 years. Not working for a C level manager.

In LI the highest I could see it paying would be $50K, but more like an average of $40k. If it's in financial services on the higher side but if it's law, advertising or manufacturing it could be on the lower side.

Whoever is paying $80K in LI for an exec admin needs to tell me about it!

The way you describe the position IMO would pay low 30's. EA's on LI would likely pay 40's to low 50's. If someone has an EA position on long island paying in the 80's please let me know. I'd be interested in applyingChat Icon

Re: Executive Assistant & Salary

Thanks for the info. Yes, this would definitely be a junior position. Thanks for the clarification.
