Exercising...
I have not been aloud to exercise this whole PG so I have already gained 10lbs and my muscle definition has disappeared already. I would really like to start doing something. My doctor said to start off with short walks a few times a week and gradually walk longer if I don't start bleeding/spotting. She said that I can do free weights for my arms which I'm going to get this weekend. Nothing heavy just enough to try to get rid of some flab that's starting to happen.
My question is, I would like to tone my butt and thighs up. What exercise is safe to do while PG to help with this? I was told by someone that lunges help a lot. I used to do them, but not recently. Any ideas? I don't want to overdue it, but my legs are soooo flabby now it's gross! Thanks!

Re: Exercising...
If you are now allowed to exercise during the pregnancy, I assume there is a reason and I would follow the doctor's orders. You can walk uphill- that will help strengthen muscle in your legs, butt, etc... You can also meet with a personal trainer to have him/her set a routine for you while you are pregnant.
If you are allowed to exercise by your doctor, you can take classes at the gym. I kept taking total body conditioning classes at the gym when I got pregnant- until I broke my hand (in my 6th month). Just tell teh instructor you are pregnant. That helped... Lunges are also great and not too streneous (unless you have weak knees).
