Santa wants to get Sidney an Exersaucer but he wanted to see if you all had a recommendation on which one to get. Babies love these things right???

Re: Exersaucer...
Kevin has the Baby Einstein one above - he loved it when he was little about 4-6 months but once he started crawling he doesn't use it as much.

never heard of either being bad for the hips. We had a jumperoo and an exercaucer and my daughter loved them both. She spent more time in the exercaucer though.

Re: Exersaucer...another ? at bottom...
there are a lot of factors that should be considered when you using them both...
first, your kid should be able to put their feet flat on the floor, otherwise it could (not always but the possibilty does exist) lead to poor gross motor development ( stress on the hips, tippy toe walking)
second babies learn about how their feet and legs are connected to them by watching them move. When babies are placed in exersaucers with solid trays, they cannot see their feet and legs moving. Therefore, they do not get the appropriate information necessary for motor development of their feet and legs.
third, they should really only be used for short intervals. I would say 15 to 20 minutes at most.
