expensive jeans, are they worth it?

Are expensive jeans - like sevens, etc. really better than say, gap jeans? What is the difference?

Re: expensive jeans, are they worth it?

I have very expensive jeans and I also own some gap jeans. IMO, the expensive jeans are much more stylish than Gap jeans. These I would wear out to a party or clubs, etc. The Gap jeans are like like my everday wear.

Not all jeans fit the same. I've spent hundreds on jeans and will continue to as long as they fit perfect. The perfect fit for me are True Religions. I have Sevens, Citizens, Abercrombie and have tried on dozens others, just so happens the True Religions are the most flattering on me, so yes they are worth the $$ for me.

all my jeans are expensive
and the only reason why is because to me they last longer . i have a pair of seven jeans from 2001 and they still look brand new . i have tried less expensive jeans and after a few washes they look worn out . plus they fit me better

eta : i have not bought jeans in years lol

I just spent $250 on a pair of True Religions and I love them. And it's true...they last longer and I can wear them over and over again and they still look great!

Re: expensive jeans, are they worth it?

the jury is still out for me.

I am curvy, so I don't need jeans to "give" me a butt...I am in love with 2 pairs of jeans I bought at a store in Germany (Mango- it's all over Europe) the jeans fit so well, and the washes are really cool...they were about 30 euros (around $42)

basically, I have not been so impressed with the wash/fit of a pair of $250 jeans to warrant purchasing them.

I think if a pair of jeans fit well on you then it is worth whether they are $40 or $140 (if you have the money to spend on them). I purchased my first pair of Citizens I guess it is 3 years ago and they still look great. The only thing is I throw everything in the dryer so they shrunk in lengh which is fine for me when I want to wear flats. I purchased another pair about a year and half ago and they also fit so good. I always get so many compliments and am waiting to fit into them again. I did buy a pair of Joe's and am just not as happy and really dont have another $140 to spend on jeans right now. I wish I did because I always felt great in them.

i agree 100%

But i am sorry...there are no pair of jeans that are worth 260 to me

they aren't something i woudl wear out anywhere special..

and if i am going to spend that kind of money on pants

it better be special...

IMO jeans aren't

I bought 2 pairs of expensive jeans last year and there's definitely a difference. I really like the way they fit.

I love my 7's, True Religions, Chip and Pepper and Rock and Republic jeans. I bought them at a jean party.. I dontthink I could pay over $250 for jeans. The most I spent was $150 for my first pair of 7's....
I don lo0ve how they fit and tend to wear the more expensive jeans when I am going out..

I also love my A and Fitch jeans as well....

I have an expensive pair of jeans (well I think they were) by Sigrid Olsen but all my other jeans are from the Gap, Levi's, etc. IMO, the more expensive one's definitely fit me better!

Re: expensive jeans, are they worth it?

If they made me feel really attractive and sexy, I think I could spend 150. More than that would be insane.
Right now I have Polo and Levi's and I like them. I have to find some maternity jeans, though and that seems to be a painChat Icon Chat Icon

I have a bunch of jeans allover $150 and I love and wear them all. Gap, Express etc...if I buy them I never wear them...they dont fit me as well and I don't feel as good in them.

Re: expensive jeans, are they worth it?

I have one pair of Indie jeans that my Dh bought me for my b-day last year.
<----------I'm wearing them in my avatar picture. I wanted to have one thing that I looked great in after a baby. I think having a pair is worth it.

Re: expensive jeans, are they worth it?

I think they are worth it. I am a former dancer, very thin, and long. Most jeans from Gap, AF, Express are too baggy on my legs. My FSIL told me about Sevens and made me try them on. Fit like a glove. I love them. I buy them in Barneys when either they are on sale or out in the Barney's outlet in Riverhead. Then they come to the same price as the ones from Express. Also, Filenes basement had them for 59 bucks a few months back. There is no need to spend all that money, when you can find them somewhere else.
