Experiences with in room babysitting at Disney World?
I read there are three companies (all non-Disney) that come to the room. Have you used this service? Thinking ONE grown up dinner would be nice. One of my Ds will be too young for the Disney kids club area, so that's not an option.
Also, would you stay at your resort for your "date"? We will be at Wilderness, so Artist's Point is in the resort, but I would love to try Jiko over at Animal Kingdom- but the idea of staying on the resort while a complete stranger watches my sleeping children seems like a better idea.

Re: Experiences with in room babysitting at Disney World?
we used the one thru disney (disney recommends them i believe they are 3rd party affiliates with disney)- its 18 an hr and they are state and federal checked. then disney does their own check.
we stayed at the boardwalk went to dinner then spent the night at epcot for extra magic hours. we left at 6pm and gave permission for the babysitter to take the kids on the boardwalk. i had already had the kids bathed and had their pjs on. she fed them dinner (we had that ready) took them for a walk and had them in bed at 730
we got back to the room at midnight. felt extremely comfortable leaving the kids with her (my boys are 1 and 2.5 yrs old)

I don't have kids, so I've never used it myself, but I have heard nothing by great feedback about Kids Nite Out,. They're fully background checked and trained and they actually complete the basic Disney Cast Member training, so they really know Disney World. They come with age-appropriate activities for the kids, so it's fun for them. You're not just hiring someone to watch the kids watch Stacey on the TV

thats who we used - kids nite out..
they don't bring anything with them - you supply the toys, coloring books, food etc.
you give them permission to take them out for a walk - a signed permission.
if its an evening - most kids will go to bed at a decent hour and the baby sitter is just sitting in the room, reading or watching tv.

Thanks for the feedback. Definitely something to consider- although I wonder if I'll be too wiped out myself to go anywhere at the end of the day, lol.

i don't think she was looking for your input that you could never. I'm pretty sure she was asking for experiences or recommendations

Our clients love Kids Nite Out! They bring a bag of age-appropriate toys and games, they wear uniforms, they're checked by KNO and by Disney, they complete Disney Cast Member basic training, and it's truly a magical experience for the kids.
We've not booked them ourselves as our daughter LOVES the Disney kids clubs and looks forward to her stay(s) every vacation, but we've yet to have a client be anything but thrilled with the services provided by KNO.

I can't personally comment because we never used anyone. DH wasn't comfortable leaving the girls with a stranger at the hotel. But I see some people saying that they come with activities (and I think they advertise that they do) but in addition to someone above - I know someone who used them and they like someone above - didn't bring any activities or games with them. So I'm not sure how common that is or if they just got a bad sitter. My friend was pleased with the service though.
