Explosive poop in 5 week old??
We had some issues with DD not going at all for about a week, we had to stimulate her and she went twice. NOW all of a sudden, it's like she's catching up. It's constant, after every feeding and it can be heard several rooms away!
Anyone else's DC have this? I'm ready to call the doctor

jonah has several explosive poops a day. yesterday he had one that shook the house, i swear. i went to change him and he had pooped out of the diaper and ALL OVER his outfit 
i don't understand how such a little guy can produce SO MUCH POOP.

At 3 weeks, my DD wasnt going and i tried everything, so i had to bring to peds and they got her to go. And for about 2 days her butt ROARED.. She was okay after that. We just made sure she was hydrated. You can tell by their mouth and eyes if not hydrated enough. Just ring your peds to check with them.
We call my DD butt the lion.. We always say well the lion roared today lol. Its a happy sound!!

DD was born with explosive poop. DH and everyone else is shocked that someone so little can be so "powerful" as he calls it. Last nite she went so much it leaked through her onesie and pjs - i usually do not have a leakage prob with her.

Okay, so maybe she's okay then. It just wasn't like this before the constipation thing happened. I feel like she is always grunting, even when she should be sleeping, she's just so restless and I figured it was because of that. Thanks

Victoria did not have any issues with not going for a week straight but boy this girl could be heard from pretty far away! I think if you read What to expect the first year, the loud explosive poops are discussed as being totally normal

Oh yes its common. Totally normal. As long as it is not too watery she is fine.
