Fabric questions
I'm going to be attempting a sewing project soon. I have a pattern already and I need to buy 3 coordinating fat quarters of fabric, 1 fat quarter of craft fuse interfacing and 1 fat quarter of cotton batting or fleece.
Will a store like JoAnns sell the fabric in a fat quarter or will I need to buy a larger pieces of fabric?
If I get quilting fabrics that have that padding on the back can I skip either the craft fuse and the batting? Can I skip both?
Thanks so much! Cathy

Re: Fabric questions
Cathy,
I don't know about the craft fuse, but you can buy a fat quarter at Joanns. The question is will you like the ones they have out, I'm not sure they will cut it from the bolt. They have bins of them already out.
You can probably ask them about fuse at Joanns, I find the women in the fabric department very knowledgable.

Re: Fabric questions
If you don't like their fats, you can always go to a quilt shop like Sew Whats New or the one in Riverhead depending on where you are. There's one in Sayville too.
You can find lots of great things on equilter.com as well.
Try Joanns - good luck. I don't sew but love fabric.
