Facility Charge -Catholic Health Services

Hey Ladies,

I have gotten two sonograms at the Maternal Fetal Medicine center at Good Samaritan Hospital. I normally have a 40 dollar copay for these more "in depth" sonograms, but the other day received yet another bill for 40 dollars.

I called the office and they said that it was a facility payment? The lady gave me a vague answer saying that the Catholic hospitals have started to charge this extra fee?

Has anyone else received this bill?

i have not, but I would request to see the Explanation of Benefits AND their bills. That seems WRONG for a sonogram... for hospital services, yes that makes sense, like if you are at the ER you get billed for the hospital fees AND the physician fees, but I've never heard of that for MFM or other strictly physician services.
