Family Child care and age limits
Question. If you are a licensed in home child care provider and can take care of 6 kids age 6wks-12 plus 2 additional school aged kids. Is there an age limiit for the school aged kids????
Our sitter has a new state inspeector and she told our provider that our 13 year old was too old for care--HUH . She can stay until the end of the year to allow us to find laternate care but after that the provider will receive a violation. I've never heard anything like that????

I think the age cutoff is 12, but I'm not 100% sure

Thanks ladies. We have other options but it bothers me that 12 is a cut off. Just cant see how all 13 year olds are assumed to be responsible enough to stay home unmonitored. They dont have to look for trouble--it cna knock on the door KWIM.
