Family members who ask your weight gain

Do you find this annoying? I do. I had my level 2 yesterday and this certain person asks me "How much weight did you gain"? I just changed the subject. How do you handle this question when asked? Do you tell them something like My Dr. said that I am fine with where I am right now... ?

I'd probably turn around and say "Why, how much weight have you gained??"

Honestly, depending on who it is, I'd either just give them a "What the heck" look (which should stop them in their tracks). Or, and I have had to do this a couple of times, I'd ask them if they want my doctor's telephone number so they can discuss my current care/weight/situation/health, etc. Can you tell I've had a rough week w/people??

Seriously though, I'd probably say something along the lines of what you said, "my doc said I'm just fine/where I need to be, etc"

I know right? Why even ask us that question? It's really rude IMO. welll, my mil asked me and this is the second ot third time shes asked. She needs to stop.

I would say, why would you ask me that?

I would just tell them that I'm at a healthy weight for my pregnancy!

One of my SIL's gained like only 11 or 12 lbs with both of her DDs, and my oldest SIL was sooo obsessed w/other SILs pregnancy weight it's all she talked about!!! SIL with the 2 daughters is SKINNY SKINNY to begin with, very petite frame, smoked during pregnancy, and ate salads basically the whole time...so of course she didn't gain weight...

and the second she found out I was pregnant, the first thing she said was "I can't wait to see how much weight you gain!"

and said something along the lines of, "no offense, but you're not built like other SIL, you're built more like me, bigger, so I think you're going to gain alot more" that SIL gained like 70 or so pounds, had a 10 lb baby, and never went back to pp weight...I know she is just jealous and her only pleasure comes out of anything that she can talk about other people about (I've been through 1million other scenarios that proved this about her and DH is aware too) so I can't wait til she asks me cuz I want to SHUT HER DOWN!!!!

UGH!!! People suck!

After a function one day my MIL actually asked me "Did you eat all your food?" Like I was 12-years-old!

Why does being pregnant make it ok for people to give you an opinion about everything?!?!?

The only person who asks me that is my father of all people. But he will also ask me point blank how much money I have in my savings account, what my DH's weekly paycheck is, etc. He is one nosey son of a b.

It's really rude though!

yup.. my MIL asks me this ALL the time.. she swears I'm not gaining enough weight.. and last week SIL jumped in as well.. "so how much" did you really gain.. what the eff.. leave me alone.. anyway.. I took my SIL's comment has a backhanded compliment.. so I responded with something like this
" I have gained enough and more.. and believe you me.. I will be gaining a whole lot more in the ___ weeks that remain.." it sounded a bit nicer.. because DH was giving me the "look"
