Family of Four on Cruise-Which Stateroom?
We just went on a cruise this month and had an inside room (145 sq. ft) and it was WAY too small.
Wondered what is a good size room for 2 adults, a 10 yr. old and 5 yr. old without spending an arm and leg.
Thanks :0

I may be wrong but other then suites aren't most staterooms almost the same size? You might feel better with a room with a balcony...that's what my family always did (we were 5!) that way it feels more open and at least someone can step outside to get a break...

I know they have different sizes but not very much. My dh will NOT go in an inside room again with the kids so we will have to look into something bigger.

we stayed in a huge suite on royal carribean and it was the same price as a balcony room. My DH did a lot of reading on cruisecritic.com and found out when they were runing the special for the room we wanted and the same price as reg. balcony rooms. it worked out to be a difference of $2500!! maybe search that site and read up for awhile before you plan the next cruise, that site was so helpful!

My parents and I when we cruise will always get the biggest room available.
Not to be snobby but so we can have a lot more room. And a bigger bathroom

Re: Family of Four on Cruise-Which Stateroom?
Things to consider is the age of the ship, older ships have smaller rooms (the NCL Majesty has some REALLY small rooms).
NCL doesn't allow 4 in their balcony rooms where as Royal Caribbean has ships like the Explorer where you can put 4 in a category D1 (it will most likely be a double sleeper sofa and the 2 twin beds).
Carnival is known to have larger rooms in general so maybe an oceanview room would be an ok size for you.
