Farmingdale train station question...
Does anyone know how far the Farmingdale LIRR station is from the SUNY Farmingdale campus? I've got to go there today after work, but have no idea where the station is.
Thanks!

not walking distance, but maybe 5 minutes driving, a little longer in traffic?

Thanks. Do you know if there's a taxi stand at the station?

Re: Farmingdale train station question...
there are always taxis around there. What time do you need to go? If its around 5:30ish and you're stuck without a cab, FM me. I leave work at that time and I'm so close to the train station.

Re: Farmingdale train station question...
Its walking distance. You go down Secatogue, make a right onto Melville Road. The college is less than a mile from the train station. Walking would take 10 minutes. Driving, 2 minutes. IMO, not worth the money to get a cab especially if its nice out.

You're right... I was considering time of day (for traffic) and being in heels. That's not walking distance for me in heels!

Oh, you are so sweet! I'm heading to my niece's pinning ceremony today (she's graduating from Farmingdale's RN program) and I'm totally Suffolk stupid. But I was able to set it up so that one of my family members will swing by the train station before the ceremony and pick me up.
