Fashion Fails?
I thought it would be funny to post some fashion fails here.
I have quite a few, but my latest is this a matte black french manicure.
It looked so great in the pictures:
But, it didn't work out quite so well when I attempted it myself. Granted I didn't have black polish but I use a very dark violet that looks almost black. The matte part just looks messy, like it shows all kinds of flaws and lines and just how uneven it is near my cuticles  . And I didn't have guide strips so I tried to free hand the glossy tip. Didn't come out so well. I'm not very artistic or steady handed.
So um, yeah, I will be going over this with another coat of polish today and doing a regular top coat.
I tried...
And it's a shame because I really like the look in the picture. I should have known!

Not to be a jerk, but you did everything to guarantee it would be a fashion fail so its not necesarily a fail lol... haha bring the pic to manicurist i bet they will.make it look good :)

Yes, yes I know, I know.
I'm not a very precise or detail oriented person.
I am the opposite of anal.
So maybe I shouldn't have even attempted it myself!
I like the end result of stuff, just never want to put in the effort...story of my life!

A few weeks ago I got out to my car and realized that I taught a whole class with my fly wide open. LAST semester the same thing happened but my shirt was unbuttoned and my bra was totally visible. THANKS STUDENTS FOR TELLING ME.

hahaha no worries I do the same thing when it comes to crafting. I swear I want to craft. I want to make things and be able to say oo this is my DIY isn't it great! But I don't put any real effort into it and I just give up and just go pay for it to be done for me LOL

that mani is cool, but I NEVER would have attempted that myself. I feel like it's something even the most precise manicurist could make a mess of !!

I watched a you tube video and the girl used those sticker strip guides you use for a regular french mani.
I am thinking if I had those, it would have helped.
But yes, next time I will leave these ambitious things to the pros!

i usually just wear wicked during the winter and the few times i tried painting my own nails it looked like a bloody mess. i just get gel manis now and go ghetto with them. i keep them on for over a month and just let my nail grow out. reverse french  lol
