what do you do when donor egg cycle fails as well?

anyone tried donor embryos with any luck?

i need to hear something positive about all this, because i have no options left for any genetic connection to my kid, my eggs are bad, and donor egg hasn't worked for me as well, we've spent $60,000 on all this, money and time is running out

has anyone on this board gone on to adopt? if so, from which country or agency, would love to know more about it

I know that in NYC many families use Spence Chapin Adoption Agency or Catholic Charities.

My boss adopted a daughter from China at the age of 53!


A friend of mine is a close friend of a priest and she adopted her son from a young woman who went to the priest for guidance.

I know there are a few women here who have adopted as well. Have you checked the adoption board?

Im sorry that a DE cycle did not work.

I do not know much about donor embryo but that might not be the best option since the DE embryo did not implant. do you have other eggs to use?

you can find it by googling but there is a service that offers frozen donor eggs that you can purchase as needed - maybe that could be an option.

Have you been to SIRM? When all else fails they have been able to get people pregnant. You could also look into Dr Toth in NYC-he deals with infection-he's got two free e-books on his website-very interesting reading. You can go on SIRM's website and post on their forums. If you post on the Southwest forum the owner will chat with you and he is a genius. You could also consider CCRM in Colorado-they have some of the highest pregnanvy rates in the US. Good luck

I am so sorry too. You didn't meet with your RE yet?

I have seen many cases where DE didn't work the first time out but when they did an FET it did work.

You should check out DE boards on IVFconnections and on Fertility Friend. Lots of women there have been through it all. Good place to ask this question.

You'll see me over there, as we are moving on to DE too.

A friend on one of my boards on Fertility Friend has two children from DE and a woman I used to work with adopted through Baby Safe Haven.

I do not have IF issues but I do have a beautiful, wonderful, smart, funny son that we adopted from Ethiopia.
We used www.whfc.org (Wide Horizons for Children). They were wonderful and I highly rec'd the agency. They have a local office in Oyster Bay and our social worker, Charlotte, is great.
Only because you asked about adoption I want you to know that I have a bio-daughter as well and in all honestly she and my son have my heart and my soul. Jason does not share the same DNA as my husband and I but he shared what makes me "me"...my heart, my soul, my breath- the same as my daughter. He says a phrase the SAME way my husband does and it is so funny. His eyes light up just like my daughters at certain desserts or ideas. I don't think DNA does that. I think love and being a family is why.
