fast pass question in disney
Are the characters worth fast passing? We are going during a semi busy week, It happens to be Veterans day week but NJ teachers have conference there. I am having a hard time finding reservations for restaurants so i am expecting it to be a bit busier than 3 yrs go when we went this week. Anyway, should I fast pass, cinderella, tinkerbell, ariel etc.
We plan on only doing Epcot and MK only there Sunday (late)- Thursday morning. We have reservations at the princess storybook dinning and crystal palace with pooh.
just wondering what to do

Re: fast pass question in disney
We FPed the characters at Epcot (Mickey, Minnie, & Goofy) and waited 10-15 mins. The standby line was 45 mins.

Re: fast pass question in disney
I tried to use FP for the "must see" things whether it be attractions or characters - so anything id be disappointed if we didn't get. Personally I found the character lines to be the worst. Ride lines move a lot faster. We tried to throw in one character meet when we first got to park and then fast pass another later on.

fast pass question in disney
If you are seeing the princesses during a meal, I wouldn't FP those. Tinkerbell's line in MK moves pretty quickly and if you use the Disney app you will be able to catch her with a 10-15 minute wait.
I would use a FP to see Mickey in Town Square Theater at MK because he talks and his lines are long as a result.

fast pass question in disney
Like somebody else said, i would use FP on the things you or your kids would be really disappointed to miss.... whether its a ride, or a character. In our case, my son (6) isn't super into the characters- if he's gonna wait in a line, he wants it to be for a fast ride HAHA SOO we just do a bunch of character meals to see some characters at those, and call it good. And if we happen to walk by a character and the line isn't bad, we'll jump in line. So it really depends on what you and your kids/family want to do. I have to say its really easy now to add 4th FPs from your phone, once you use up your first 3. WE went the last week of August, and i was doing it all week! we would check in for our 3rd FP of the day, and while we were walking through the line i would get on my phone and see what other FP we could get so you could always do that.... do rides for your first 3, and then kind of see what characters are still available on FP. PS--- the NJ Teacher's convention isn't actually at WDW. Its in atlantic city... but because schools up here are close for that Thursday and Friday, in addition to election day, a lot of people head down to Disney that week so they only miss 2 days of school. (Including the teachers, since the convention isn't required HAHAHA)

fast pass question in disney
We were just there last week.
We didn't fast pass the characters but, if you do them early in the day, the lines aren't that long. I made a mistake on our first day, thought MK opened at 9 and it opened at 8 so there was a 20 minute line for Mickey when we got in at 8:30. For Epcot, there wasn't a line for characters early in the day.
Also - they have a special character meet and greet for Disney credit card holders at Epcot - the two times we've went it's been Mickey and Goofy.
