Father's Day...
I have to admit; yesterday morning was a little rough. I felt myself more sad yesterday than I did on Mothers Day; and Im not sure why.
Maybe because I want DH to be a dad sooooo bad! Maybe because I saw the sadness in his face; and that affected me as well.
I also found my FB feed was covered in Father's Day posts with their new babies. I found it to be a bit more overwhelming than what I saw posted on Mother's Day. Of course there was room for one more announcing her pregnancy!
I hate going thru this year after year; without anything for us to even celebrate. And Wondering if we ever will. We find ourselves always doing the hosting; but never the ones celebrating.
We spent the day having our dad's over; and it was a nice day. But its that one year where I just want to expand that day's happiness forever.
Anyone else have a rough day yesterday?

Although I have to point out that after 163 views, you and I seem to be the only ones that feel this way.
All I have to say is everyone else has no idea how lucky they are to not experience these feelings; because it sux!

Fathers Day has been a. Sore spot for me since my father died when I was a kid. I hate hearing about it, I hate celebrating it. Once I got married, we celebrate my FIL every year and every year it kills me. Since starting to TTC , IF Treatments and our final decision to stop trying - it's been 5 years of fathers day being worse then it has ever been. For me, it's because I am the reason my DH isn't a father. It's my fault. I'm The one who is broken.
So Father's Day sucks and has sucked for me for a very long time.
I feel your pain.

I actually felt more like shit on mothers day. Im very lucky that I already have a DS..this I know. But there's just a little part of me that wishes I could give him a sibling. My baby is growing too fast and I just feel like his life is passing me by.
He asks alot about it b/c most of his friends have siblings.
DH is very content being a dad to one. Fathers day sucks for him a bit b/c he lost his dad at 16yrs old.

Peainapod: Yes, you are extremely lucky to have a child already, but I know that doesnt take away the fact of wanting another. Its always easier for everyone else to judge unfortunately.

Father's Day...
Fathers day kicked my butt too - you are not alone. I didn't anticipate it at all and boom....facebook sucks. I am taking a break from it and being careful what I let into my life right now b/c I am too easily triggered. Hang in there xo

It's true; I wasnt anticipating it all either. Just hit like a ton of bricks.
Yeah, I seriously hate FB! HATE HATE HATE IT! Yet, I still go on. I just never learn.
