Is the day before Father's Day an ok date to throw a bbq?
It isn't Father's Day so it should be fine, right?

Father's Day is probably the 2nd biggest BBQ day, after July 4th, so I'm not sure about having a big BBQ the day before a huge BBQ day.
Then again, I would go to a BBQ every day of the week if they were available.....

I think it's totally fine. We're going to my IL's on the Saturday b/c Sunday will probably be a lot of traffic and then Sunday we'll be with my family
Usually we've done it together, but my mom is having hip surgery so we really won't be able to do our normal family celebration.
Whatever date is available for everyone is when you can make the holiday.
BTW... my IL's side is so big they do a Thanksgiving Family dinner the week b4 Thanksgiving.
