Fathers Day- I am hosting need some ideas!
I am hosting fathers day at my house, praying it is nice out since its going to be an outdoor event!
So far on the menu, we are mostly bbq'ing My father inlaw does an amazing job bbq'ing
We have Filet Mignon Burgers Hotdogs Chicken breast marinated with a glaze Corn on the cob-cooked on the grill
Sides Cole slaw Macoroni salad Potato salad
I am having 18 people
What else am i missing, this is my first time hosting a big party at my house

does everyone eat meat? otherwise you might want some other vegetarian/vegan options.
make sure you have all of the toppings for burgers - red onion, pickles, lettuce, tomato, etc.
i'd also do a regular salad too - romaine, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc.

I agree with adding all the toppings for burgers and hot dogs. The regular salad is a good idea too.
I am actually thinking of doing the same thing. And these are all the things on my list. I might add some shish kabobs.

Thanks for the tips for the hamburgers and hotdogs, gotta make sure i get all the toppings for them!!!
I will also do a regular salad!
all 18 people eat meat, big italian and jewish families!
Also thinking about making a few boxes of rice pilaf!

This side dish is amazing:
Broccoli Salad
Mix Night Before 2 cups mayo 2 tbls wine vinegar ¾ cups sugar
Salad
2 heads broccoli 1 ½ lbs sharp cheddar 1 ½ lbs bacon fried & crumbled 2 small red onions
Mix together and serve

hey! how did it go? i also hosted and had 31 people! I had:
veggie tray dips chips salsa Skirt steaks hamburgers hot dogs chicken sausage eggplant salad broccoli rabe stringbeans potatoes roasted peppers cauliflower pancakes
then ton of dessert that everyone brought. i made a pistachio fruit dip and got a fruit tray.. we had so much food left over but it was a hit. besides the weather.
