Father's Day pics and activity RAVE!
Logan and I surprised DH with a baseball themed 1st Father's Day. 
I bought a new doormat that looks like home plate, a T-shirt that says "NY's greatest dad" with the Mets logo on it, and taped a card to it. Our surprise Father's Day activity was a tour of CitiField and lunch at the attached McFadden's.
I can't even tell you how great this tour was for a baseball fan. We toured the suites, the lounges, the CLUBHOUSE and locker room(!!!), and even we got to go on the field and into the dugouts and bullpen! DH was giddy like a little kid, and Logan was loving it all, too!! We were guided for an hour, then given unlimited time to browse the hall of fame.
McFadden's redeems the tour ticket stubs for 20% off your meal, too.
The tour was $10/ticket - the baby was free - so for $20, we had such a great day. The Mets offer the tour on all non-game days during the season and it's rain or shine.
It's a GREAT trip for a little leaguer!

If anyone wants tour tickets, they're available right on the mets website. For $10, you can't go wrong!

I got dh tour tix too, but he doesnt go until august bc we have a very busy 2 months ahead of us! So glad you had fun!

thats awesome! I got my DH tix to the old yankee stadium tour a few years ago and thats what we got my dad for fathers day this year (citifield though).
Looks like a blast, what a great day!

I saw your facebook pictures! what an AWESOME idea! I have to do this for DS and DH! Can I buy the tickets online? Do you have to pick a day and purchase tickets for that day or just general admission tickets and you show up whenever?

Great pictures and looks like it was a great day!
We were there last week for the Relay for Life and got to walk on the field (warning track) and it was so cool to be there when the stadium was not crowded etc. But the tour definitely sounds great, seeing more parts of the stadium! DH heard about this and said he wants to do it so we have to find a day to do it.

Awww - that's so cute! I had been looking at getting game & tour tixx on the same day but had no luck, so I just settled on game tixx for him  Now that I know it's so worth it, maybe I'll see if he'll want to go one day just to do that!

thanks- they don't do tours and games on the same day... i guess they would have to skip the clubhouse/locker room/field parts if they did!
