Favor for sports party
I'm having DS 4th bday party at the Y and it will be a sports theme. I'm trying to figure out what to do for favors. I would have lived to do personalized baseball shirts or jerseys, but they're more expensive then I expected. I was poking around and came up with something that might be cute. I was thinking sports themed leg warmers for the girls and Yankees capes for the boys. Is that cute or lame? I don't like doing the goody bags with a bunch of candy/junk. I prefer to do one nicer item.

Re: Favor for sports party
I'm like you and would rather do a good favor that will be used. I like the sports bottle idea. I went to a sports party that served ice cream in the plastic baseball hats you get to keep along with a blowup bat and ball and sports bottle. You could probably find some good ideas at Five Below.

Favor for sports party
I would do something like big bouncy playground type balls or water bottles. I know personally speaking, my DD wouldn't wear sports themed legwarmers.

I like the idea of giving out soccer balls, basketballs, etc. Water bottles are also good.

Re: Favor for sports party
We've done water bottles in the past so I was trying to stay away from them. But if all else fails, I guess I could do them again. I was just trying to think outside of the box.

Re: Favor for sports party
How about a ball/bat set? I know I've seen those big plastic ones at the Dollar type stores (Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, etc.)

Re: Favor for sports party
I would do baseball caps for all maybe just girly ones for the girls. I also think a nice quality sports bottle is useful.

Re: Favor for sports party
They also have a spray mist water bottle. I had one for DS during his summer sports and everyone was asking where I found it. It was about $8 on amazon.

Re: Favor for sports party
So what do we think of capes for everyone? Half Yankees, half Knicks. There are about 15 boys and 5 girls.
