DD is 5 weeks, and it's def getting easier as people say (still the hardest job ever!) but it's fun to see her starting to react to us and i can't wait to see her personality come through. i hate to rush through this newborn time but i cant wait til shes a little older. whats your favorite age?

Re: favorite age
I can honestly say as dd ages that every age was successively my favorite. Looking back I found that the newborn time was my least favorite. Not that she was a difficult baby because she was a really good baby but nothing compares to watching her learn and develop her unique personality as she grows(she is now almost 2).

Honestly there is nothing i really miss about the infant stage at all. I love 6 months and right now is pretty awesome my dd is 1. Its amazing watching her learn new things everyday. I love watching the curosity she has for everything and then the look of how pleased she is with herself when she figures something out. Hearing her voice. Hearing her giggle from watching something she thinks is funny. Or even better when i make her giggle. Hearing her say mama. Watching her stand on her own. I just love this right now. Its absolutely amazing and every reason why i wanted to be a mommy.

Re: favorite age
Well, I know from being a babysitter, a nanny and a teacher that I love the age range of 3-5 years old the best.
But as a parent, my DD is only 10 months old.
I'd say month 3 or 4 and month 7 were some of the best times for me- personally- so far.
But it's cool when they can sit up but they aren't crawling yet because DD was independent and kept herself occupied without getting into trouble and we could go out and do things with her in the highchair or shopping cart without her constantly struggling to explore in physical ways.

My DD is turning 2 next month and I love where she is now. She's so much fun, I can have a conversation with her, she's silly and sweet, she loves going out and she surprises me every day with new words and just the things that the understands.

As a teacher, my favorite age is 4 years old. That's the age I always felt they learned the most and have the greatest personalities (before they turn into sassy kindergarteners, lol).
DS is almost 8 months and I am pretty much counting down the years until then. I think I'm missing that infancy mommy gene.

Every couple months I say, oh, now this is my favorite age. DD will be 2 next month. She is sooo funny, we laugh together, talk together, it's great. So for right now, 23 months.

Seriously - every stage they get to is the "best" one! It is amazing to watch them learn and grow.

I love kids but my favorite is babies. Newborns to 5 months. I'm such a baby person. Nothing in this world is greater than holding a baby to me.
And the first real smile - priceless.
I always joke that I want a job just holding babies all day

Re: favorite age
My friends make fun of me because every new stage with DD I'm always saying "This is my favorite - I wish she'd stay RIGHT HERE!" She's 2 now and I honestly have enjoyed every moment raising her and can't wait for all that the future holds with this girl
