Favorite beauty tips...
I use the cheapest hair conditioner I can find to shave with. Great in the shower - no mess in the tub.
When putting lip liner on, don't stretch your mouth wide. Keep lips relaxed for a natural look.
What are yours?

Re: Favorite beauty tips...
I def. am natural in my application of lip liner.
I use eye shadow as lipstick sometimes, just put vaseline over it.
I wash my hair as soon as I get into the shower, then put my hair up with a clip and leave the conditioner in while I shave and wash.
I floss.
I sometimes add baking soda to my fash wash in the palm of my hand to exfoliate. My skin is so soft afterwards.

This sounds like a great tip. I sometimes take coarse salt and rub it on my hands with lemon or even olive oil. It smoothes them immediately. Its affect is similar to Origins' Body Scrub.

I've done that too! The course kosher salt and olive oil mix is great! The only thing is that you need to have a damp paper towel nearby to clean your hands off. Otherwise, it is so hard to turn the sink on!
I also brush my lips when I brush my teeth to exfoliate.
I also steam my face (I have one of those steam machines from ulta to do it) but I sometimes add rosemary oil (2 drops) to do some aromatherapy.
I put eyelliner on heavily and messy before I wash my face because the perfect amount is left on after I have washed my face.

It's so funny you say this. I always found the same thing happened but never thought to do it on purpose. Do you use a liquid eyeliner or a pencil? This is one I must try. Thanks.

Re: Favorite beauty tips...
I use regular pencil. I started doing it because I always liked how my eyes looked the day after I put it on. I don't do a really good job with liquid eyeliner, so I stick with pencil.

Great post...I've put Honey in my hair. I just rub it in and leave it for about 5 minutes and then wash it. It leaves your hair shiny & soft.

If you get a pimple put visine on it. I got my first pimple the other day, and one of the ladies who works for my jeweler said to put visine on it.

I use clear, cheap mascara as eyebrow gel.
I use tinted oxy for pimples. Great cause it covers up at the same time.

Me too! I also heat my pencil eye liner with my hairdryer to make it go on more smoothly. Not too long or it melts though!

I put witch hazel in the fridge for bug bites....
Also, aloe for sunburns....
In the summer, I put my face cream in the fridge too...helps keep from getting the red-face, sweaty in the morning heat....
I use clear mascara as eyebrow wax, and I use shimmery white eye shadow just underneath the arch in my eyebrows to give them some punch (I put it on before whatever color I'm wearing that day)....
I brush my lips with a damp wash cloth (after I wash my face)....
I use a cream of 20% glycolic acid that gets rid of pimples in a day....
I shave with conditioner....
not really a beauty tip-but I do kegals at every red light......

My dermatologist sells it at his office, you don't need a Rx,and I go to a place called Laser Cosmetica, the one in Huntington, I get laser hair removal done there, but they also do micros, and facials, etc...they have it there too.....I can't remember the name of the cream....I'll have to repost when I get home....
eta: it works so much better than benzoyl, you only need a tiny bit....my mother uses it over her whole face to remove dead skin cells (the dermatolist recommended it to her because she had a small patch of melanoma that he removed, and so every other night, she puts a few dots on her face, and rubs it in, it has really made her skin look younger....

Re: Favorite beauty tips...
Kegels:
Topic Overview
Benefits of Kegel exercises
Kegel exercises strengthen some of the muscles that control the flow of urine. Doctors often prescribe Kegel exercises for people who have bladder control problems (urinary incontinence).
Kegel exercises are also called pelvic floor exercises because they treat and prevent pelvic floor weakness. 1, 2 The pelvic floor is a "hammock" of muscles that hold the pelvic organs in place.
See an illustration of the pelvic floor muscles.
In women, Kegel exercises are helpful for those who have stress incontinence or uterine prolapse.
During pregnancy and delivery, the pelvic floor can become stretched and weakened, commonly causing urine control problems for months to years after childbirth. A weakened pelvic floor can also allow one or more pelvic organs to sag (uterine prolapse). If you are pregnant, start doing daily Kegels and continue them after having your baby.
In men, Kegel exercises are used to treat stress incontinence and urge incontinence, a need to urinate that is so strong that you cannot reach the toilet in time.
Performing Kegel exercises
Kegel exercises are easy to do and can be done anywhere without anyone knowing. First, as you are sitting or lying down, try to contract the muscles you would use to stop urinating. You should feel your pelvic muscles squeezing your urethra and anus. If your stomach or buttocks muscles tighten, you are not exercising the right muscles. Once you've found the right way to contract the pelvic muscles, squeeze for 3 seconds and then relax for 3 seconds. Repeat this exercise 10 to 15 times per session. Try to do this at least 3 times a day. Kegel exercises are only effective when done regularly. The more you exercise, the more likely it is that the exercises will help. Your doctor may want you to try doing your exercises with biofeedback to make sure you are doing them right. Biofeedback allows you to see, feel, or hear when an exercise is being performed correctly.
