We have a Honda CR-V... It's a great car for us. If we have a 3rd child we'll have to get a bigger car though.
We have this too...the new one....plenty of room in the back and trunk

We were going to go with the new Volvo XC90 (very safe) but the dealership by me was a nightmare to find us the car we want. So we are going to go with the BMW X3 instead, I hope its a good choice.
We have gotten an X3 a few times when our X5 was in the shop. Hope you love it!
I like the X5 a lot, tons of room. We also drive an Volvo S60 too. Very easy to get him in and out of.

Re: Favorite Car for Parents?
I have 1 child and the Pontiac Vibe. It is great for one kid - I don't know for 2 it might be tight with 2 car seats. It does get great gas mileage.

Re: Favorite Car for Parents?
I just got the XC90 yesterday and so far i love it I was driving an Explorer before that and it was very roomy but the volvo drives 1000x better, so much more like a car than a truck. And it has 3rd row seats and they are real seats, not just a teeny bench thingie.

Re: Favorite Car for Parents?
EHem, WHERE are all my fellow minivan moms?????
I LOVE my Mazda MPV. I can never NOT have a minivan again, with small children. I feel claustrophobic in anything else if there is more than one child involved. We wish we would have gotten the Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna...theyre better made.. but our MPV is only 3yrs old, so its still in excellent shape
When I have a "cool" car or truck, the whole point will be that it will be MINE, not the family's toy box on wheels and right now im enjoying the toy box days

Re: Favorite Car for Parents?
I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee ....It' okay,,,I wish it had more space in the "trunk"..Once the stroller is in I cant really fit much more...I am going to look at the Acura MDX and also look at the Lexus RX..I am all about more trunk space...

Re: Favorite Car for Parents?
I have the Pacifica (Touring) I love it, it has 3 rows although the 3rd row isn't used unless necessary, plenty of trunk space and it has heated captains chairs in the second row. I love it. It is roomy like and SUV but drives like a car.

We have the honda accord right now and I am very happy with it.
When we have another, we will have to get a bigger car.. I would love to get the Acura MDX but I am sure we will end up with the Honda pilot..
we have an MDX which we love. I have a jeep which is too tight so I will need a new car when we have a 2nd.

Re: Favorite Car for Parents?
I just leased a Honda Pilot tonight. We will get it next week. I am turning in a Mercury Mountaineer which I loved. It was big and comfy. Plenty of room and a great dvd system. Sad to see it go! Hope I like the Honda.

I love my Acura MDX. It is very roomy on the inside and has tons of trunk space even with the 2 strollers I carry around. And though it doesn't really count... I have navigation and WHAT A BLESSING!!!!! You can never get lost!!!
I could have written this post (except the part about 2 strollers!), especially the part about the navigation. Definitely a must!!! We LOVE the MDX. I put Jeremy's stroller in long ways (front to back as opposed to side to side) and there is so much room in the "trunk". There is another row if needed so it can seat 7 people. You do lose some trunk space with the 3rd row but the stroller still fits. My girlfriend has twin toddlers and has the Infinity Truck (can't remember the model number). They love it but the trunk space is very smal so there is no other room besides the side by side double stroller. Very hard for them to travel anywhere because they can't fit any toys. We also have a Honda Accord. It is also very roomy (as others have mentioned). We haven't put the baby in there yest because the car seat is installed in my Acura but we did get the Accord because of it's rating in Consumer Reports as the #1 Family car for safety. You should definitly test drive a lot of cars/trucks. What someone might love, you might hate (and visa versa). All cars and trucks drive differently so you need to feel how one drives over the others. When test driving, don't be afraid to bring your stoller, etc to see how it will fit in the trink. Nothing worse than falling n love with a car then realising that your stuff won't fit!
