Favorite full service and quick service meals at Disney?
DS#2 is really difficult to eat out with so we will probably doing mostly quick counter service meals. I would like to do at least one full service meal though.
The last time we were at Disney I was poorly prepared with food options. We randomly walked into restaurants (mostly bad food). I want a better plan this time.
If you had to pick 1 full service meal, where would you eat?
Your favorite quick service restaurants?
Favorite restaurant at Epcot?

Coral Reef in Epcot. Has one whole wall that is a tank. If you know the right times Mickey or a diver will go into the tank and feed the fish.
We randomly went in for lunch (got lucky) and got a table right next to the tank. AJ loved it (she as a little over 3) and watched the giant sea turtle go up and down for air.
The other tables are set in a stadium circle type thing so everyone gets a good view of the fish.
For us it was our favorite meal. For AJ she got the pizza, grapes and apples (and a show of fish). We had the deluxe plan and got super high priced items and it comes with a dessert so AJ loved that. She got the make your own sundae. So she had fun putting sprinkles on her ice cream LOL

LOL i had to look it up! That's Riverside's dining hall. So its basically counter service. Port Orleans has New Orleans food and Jim (hubby) loved it all but its not worth a visit just for that. But we never went over to Riverside to eat.
If you want, you could take a day 'off' if you will from the parks. Take a trip to Riverside via bus, eat, then take the river boat over to Downtown Disney for Legoland, shopping etc.

We are going Sunday-Friday and getting the 4 day parkhopper. We are going with another family so we already decided which parks we are going to Monday-Thursday.
I did zero research for food last time and we paid for it (in $ and bad food).
We were all ready to book POFQ but the other family wanted to stay on the monorail. I think they plan to go to MK often at night. The mom used to work for Disney (corporate). We do plan to rent a car.

I am going to push for your Coral Reef recommendation. The menu looks delish.
We are seeing the family this weekend so I wanted to have a few suggestions.

honestly looking at that link they dont really count kids are the attendees. I'm sure the food/view is to die for as far as adults go but Coral Reef is best all around for me.
Ive been to a LOT of Disney's restaurants. Epcot has the best wow factor in my mind. Coral reef as #1 and years and years and YEARS ago I went to the Mayan temple indoor place. Mexican food with an indoor river. But I'm not sure its still there.

House of Blues at Downtown Disney was by far our best meal.

Re: Favorite full service and quick service meals at Disney?
We had a great meal at TRex in Downtown Disney - unfortunately, we did it the night we got there and DS 1's schedule was all out of whack so he didn't enjoy it as much as I thought he would but, the food was great.
For quick service/counter service - we really liked Cosmic Rays in Magic Kingdom. They had a great selection of items and a few things DS enjoyed eating (it's amazing how you can't find things like chicken nuggets or hot dogs in every establishment - yes, DS is that picky lol!)
I've been to the restaurant at Port Orleans with friends and it was ok. I don't know if we would've went there if they weren't staying there though...
For breakfasts - we really enjoyed Tusker House and Hollywood and Vine (the food at Hollywood and Vine was pretty basic but, it was good and DS enjoyed it a lot).

Younger DS would go nuts at TRex. He loves dinosaurs.
I originally wanted to go to just 1 full service but maybe younger DS will be more manageable at all these well themed restaurants.

Re: Favorite full service and quick service meals at Disney?
Here's where we like to go in each park/location.
Magic Kingdom:
Table Service- Crystal Palace, I like doing buffets with the little ones since there is a wide variety to choose from.
Counter Service:- Casey's Corner, Pinocchio's, or Cosmic Ray's
Epcot:
Table Service: Our new favorite is Via Napoli. We ate there in August and loved it. We like doing table service in the World Showcase (countries) or at Coral Reef. Other places in WS we like are Le Cellier or Teppan Edo.
Quick Service: The only one I can think of is the place in America. It has burgers, nuggets, fries etc.
Animal Kingdom:
Table Service- Tusker House, love their character breakfast buffet
Quick Service: Either Pizzafari or Restarantosaurus (in Dinoland, kind of like McDonalds)
Hollywood Studios:
Table Service: We loved the Hollywood and Vine Disney Jr. breakfast. The food was decent and my kids had a fun time. We've also done 50's Prime time cafe, but not yet with the kids.
Counter Service: Pizza Planet is one of our must dos. Not for the food, but because the kids get a kick out of being at Pizza Planet, just like in Toy Story. If not there you can go to Backlot Express or Starring Rolls.
Downtown Disney: Earl of Sandwich is the only place we have really eaten with the kids. (We've done Rainforest Cafe, and will never do it again)We love Earl of Sandwich. It's kind of like Panera. They make a pizza sandwich and a PBJ for the kids. I have also heard great things about Wolfgang Puck Express.
Resorts: Another option for a MK day is to go to 1900 Park Fare or Ohana.
For a AK day, you could try Boma at the AK lodge.
At Epcot, you could also hop over to Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club or to The Flying Fish Cafe (one of my favs)
Hope this helps.

How did I forget about Ohana? This was excellent as well, we LOVED it!! Biegarten was good too, although my sauerbraten is so much better. The band went off stage when we got there and didn't go back on, so I feel like we paid for entertainment, but didn't get it.

Coral Reef has great atmosphere but the food is more on par with red lobster. While we enjoy going for the views the food is nothing to write home about.
