Re: Favorite Kitchen Gadgets?
I really want Onion Goggles. I have the worst time cutting onions. And it's something no one else will buy. They sell them at Williams Sonoma.
Most used in my kitchen are: Ice Cream Scoop Measuring cups Measuring spoons (silicon so nothing gets stuck in them) Garlic Press Mandolin Wooden spoons/spatulas

Best thing ever =
Silpat baking mat.
No need to grease a cookie sheet ever again. Nothing ever sticks, everything cooks evenly.

Ditto that on the Silpat! Best thing created!
A timer (yes separate from the micro as I can never hear mine go off!)
Pineapple Corer/Slicer !Link I love this, we eat alot of pienapple and this makes cutting so easy! Double bonus, it makes a clean shell so I have frozen some hollowed pineapples and served Pina Coladas in them - delish

I defintely agree with silicone diffent colored cutting boards & silpats.
Not really a gadget, but my mom put corn on the cob holders in my whishing well & I use them all the time!
Other litlle things we didn't really think of untill we needed them:
silcone spatulas & spoonulas not scrathing spring loaded tongs bowl scrapers flour sack cloths (for drying dishe) silicone basting brush wooden citrus reamer small funnell (not for beer!) small strainer
more of a gadget --stick blender --instant read thermometer --digital kitchen scale

May I ask what you guys eat if you never cook? I'm always running out of ideas for take out(not fast food), easy no cook dinners besides salads & places to eat out casually.
Do you really wanna' know?
We do a lot of takeout from restaurants b/c we don't have any fast food chains in the area (Hunt. Village only has Burger King) and there are none in Centerport and Greenlawn.
We grill often.
And I'm a sucka' for Lean Cuisine Skillet Sensations! (I just add more chicken and/or veggies to it.)

Re: Favorite Kitchen Gadgets?
I love silpat for baking! Also my hand mixer--so much easier than doing this by hand.
In my old apartment, the temperature on our oven was off, and my oven thermometer was great. Took a lot of the guesswork out of baking or roasting.

Re: Favorite Kitchen Gadgets?
My fave is a very simple one - an ulu knife. I got it in Alaska but you can get it on ebay or online. It's a curved handle cutting blade and I love it, better than any knife I've ever used. I also love my palm held peeler.
Meat thermometer for baking is great too. Everything comes out perfect. Get one that has the foods and their perfect temp listed on it as well as just measuring the internal temp.
