favorite restaurant
What is your absolute favorite restaurant where its not only about the food, its about the "scene?" From Montauk to Manhattan.
For me I would have to say Tao in Manhattan and Prime in Huntington. Delicious!

this is hard. I like different types of food and my favorites really depend on what I am in the mood for. So I will answer this by category. lol. sorry.
fried seafood - point lookout clam bar or Peters
Mexican - poco loco
Italian - Verace
Steak - Tellers
French - Les Halles and Bar Boulud
I'll stop there. Because I could just keep going! haha!

I hear you. I enjoyed Poco Loco's. Verace and Tellers I heard of but never been. DH and I will definately try them though.

Depends on the food of course:
Chinese eat-in: Joe's Shanghai in Flushing
Chinese Take-out: Jen's in Massapequa
Cuban/Latin style: Dorado in Jackson Heights
Sushi: Kotobuki
Melting Pot is also one of my faves but not sure what category that would fall into!

I loooooove Stanton social in the lower east side. I wih I lived closer!
Also love Besito,, burton and Doyle, and riverbay locally.

Stanton Social is pretty fabulous but make sure to make reservations in advance. Still very popular.
