Favorite toys for 4-5 year olds boy AND girl
My twins turn 4 in January
Looking for Xmas and bday ideas
What are your 4-5 year old's favorite toys ?
Eta: sorry my post wasn't clear ideas for both or unisex

American girl doll, puppy, food, bed (you could totally do the target doll which is similar and costs a lot less)

Disney princesses
Art supplies
Books
Board games like zingo, chutes and ladders, trouble, candy land
Goldiblox
Sports equipment
Dado squares - my kids love playing with these.

So you want the toys to be unisex? or you want ideas for each one?
They can both play with:
-magnatiles
-colorforms
-legos
-board games (chutes and ladders, memory game, candyland, hungry hungry hippos, disney's eye found it, hi ho cherry o, etc.)
-sit and spin
-arts and crafts
For the girl:
-dolls
-doll accessories/clothes
For the boy:
-sports stuff
-superhero themed toys/dress-up clothes

my son turns 4 in November.
he loves anything vehicle!!! one of his favorite toys is the Batatt Take Apart vehicles. You can find them on amazon.... they have different ones and they come with a toy screwdriver, you can take them apart and put them back together again. he LOVES it!! got it for Christmas last year, and still plays with it almost daily!
he also love the Magnatiles (great for keeping him busy in restaurants)
and he likes his Imaginext stuff, too..

good to know about the batatt take apart toys I just picked on up at BJs for my nephews 4th bday figured it was a plane which he loves and putting things together which he loves.
I think everything suggested was good. I am thinking of getting my 4 yo the step 2 extreme rollercoaster. she is also into frozen and has requested the frozen castle and ice skating frozen dolls   also she has asked me for the doc mc stuffin doc mobile

Favorite toys for 4-5 year olds boy AND girl
My twins will turn 4 in December and They love Legos (I have the Duplo sets for them because my youngest is 2 and still puts things in his mouth. ), puzzles, play dough, Arts and crafts. For DD she loves Disney princesses, Sophia the 1st, Doc Mcstuffins, playing dress up, doll houses (she has a loving family doll house so she will get accessories for that). For DS he loves Super heroes, wrestlers, Ninja Turtles, Imaginext sets, He's getting into cars so he'll be getting hot wheels sets this year. He also loves building so we are getting him lincoln logs. I never heard of the Magnatiles but I just looked them up and my DS would LOVE them.

oh I completely agree. Dd received the loving family doll house as her big gift from all of the grandparents when she was two and now at five it is still played with daily.
