Favorite toys/gifts for 2 year old boy
DS will be 2 just two months after xmas and i have an amazon wish list for him. Trying to get some ideas for xmas and bday for it!
What were your son's favorites?!
I want to get him a kitchen, DH seems to think its girly, but I don't think so!

ITA! DS is 3 and got a lot of these toys last Christmas. The kitchen is not girly at all (hubby wasn't thrilled but DS loves it).
DS also loves the vtech smart wheels. They are cars with tracks. The tracks are chunky and easy for him to put together. Most of them interact.

At 2 DS loved blocks, matchbox cars, and started with regular legos (not the Duplo).
and if you want to compromise on the kitchen you could get the grill. My DS plays with one at my parents in FL and doesn't stop talking about going there to cook.

DS loves his kitchen- he got one for his first birthday. I'm in the same boat as you- DS will be 2 on Feb 1st- so close to Christmas! I'm thinking of getting a train set for his birthday or a remote control car. For Christmas we're doing some more food for his kitchen, books, puzzles, giant mr. Potato head, coloring books, dinosaurs, cars, and clothes. I might get some other stuff for Christmas, but we have so much already! I like the idea of having a big Christmas gift, but I'm out of ideas. My big problem is buying for ds2 who should be here early December- I don't want to leave him out, but there is nothing he needs!

Re: Favorite toys/gifts for 2 year old boy
My in-laws keep a play kitchen at their house & DS loves it (he is 15 months old)! He stands at it & opens up the cabinets & plays with the pots & pans for the longest time. It's not a girly looking one either, it's brown & green. I think it's a good option if it's something you're already considering.
