Re: Feel bad for the dogs on a night like this
YES! DH and I just both took our dog out together. He's a small dog and the sidewalks by us haven't been shoveled yet. I'm not exaggerating the snow was higher than he is tall! He went once quickly but usually in a walk he does his business 3-4 times. Also, as he gets older the salt bothers him way more no matter what we try he ends up howling and crying, he sounds like he's being tortured its awful!

Re: Feel bad for the dogs on a night like this
Frankie was all excited to go out. I opened the door he ran back and hopped into his bed. He hates the snow. So I scooped him up and there is a 5 foot patch without snow on the side of my house. He walked that patch, at my urging, at least 10 times and then went pee. We get inside and he wants to go #2 in the house. Again I scooped him up and took him to the patch and he went. Hopefully he will be okay now until I get some of the snow shoveled.

DH is going to shovel a path to the spot where the snow is really low for Smokey to go. Poor dog went out to his normal spot this morning, and the snow was up to his belly (he's a Golden Retriever)! He peed and ran back in as quick as possible.

Scarlette, our 11 month black lab/hound/pointer mix, was all over the snow even though it was higher than her. She was digging all over the place. At one point, half her body was buried in the snow. She hopped around like a bunny She had no problem doing her business outside. As a matter of fact, she cries when we bring her back in go figure!!! First time she sees snow
