Feel like such a bad mother

I went to clean my dd's floor tonight as it was really sandy. Well when I was going around her bed, I saw candy wrappers all around (she has done this before and gotten in trouble already). I decided to move her mattress and their was crap all over the place, under the bed and around it. I freaked as I could do this every month in her room as she is such a slob. Well I decided to move the entire room and every nook and cranny behind the dresser, nightstand, bed and toy box was garbage and puzzle peices, gum, etc. I called my dh as I needed to vent as I was so mad.

I fell horrible yelling but I don't know what to do anymore. We take away privledges but she doesn't seem to care and continues to be a slob and use her room as a garbage can.

Right now I am exhausted as I just wanted to sweep and mop the room and do a little dusting and I ended up moving everything around. She is getting punished though as the TV will not work as there is no cable on the side of the room I moved the TV to. I wanted to clean my bathroom tonight but I just can not. I have people coming over tomorrow and Sunday so I want the house clean.

I know how you feel. My son is the same way, and it drives me crazy!

My mother could have written this post about my youngest sister. She stayed with me last week and I was sooooo mad at the way she messed up the room she was staying in(the baby's room)

She is a slob and could care less. Wet towels everywhere...

If it makes you feel better, my mother thinks she is this way because she did not yell at her enough...so its a double egde sword.
