Feeling bad about my postpartum weight loss
Please tell me I'm not the only one..
I have gone back on weight watchers (doing it on my own, not meeting but i did WW for years) and I have only lost 20 of the 42 pounds I gained during pregnancy.
DS is 7 weekd old, and as hard as i've tried these past 3 weeks I haven't lost another pound. The scale is stuck so to say...
Does your body hold onto the weight and let it go at a certain point?? Maybe i will just have to work extra hard, but I hate not being able to wear any of my old clothes...it stinks!!

Re: Feeling bad about my postpartum weight loss
I noticed a big change in my body after I had Julia, I lost most of my weight right after I had her and thanks to BF too. I'm still trying to loose the extra 20lbs, but its so hard, I diet and exercise but its not coming off as fast as it did before I had her. Its such a PITA!!

Re: Feeling bad about my postpartum weight loss
I gained 75 pounds with Jiavana. Now most see that I gained sooooo much weight and think I ate like a pig. The whole pregnancy I ate healthy and walked every day. Yet, I still blew up.
I am now 10 weeks PP and am down only 18.5 pounds. I have been eating healthy still and walking every day.
It does not want to come off. I feel your pain. I am so upset with my "new" body. I have such nice clothes I would love to fit into.
All I can give is .

Re: Feeling bad about my postpartum weight loss
Thanks ladies
I know the end result was well worth it all...I guess its just hard to feel not "pretty" right now, or good about myself..I am still wearing maternity jeans!! LOL!
I have read mixed things about taking off the weight and that sometimes it takes a few menstrual cycles for your body to start letting go but still...I am eating so little and so active with him I am wondering why the scale doesn't move!!

Re: Feeling bad about my postpartum weight loss
I honestly think 7 weeks is way to early to expect your body to be back. I would say for me around 4-5 months pp I noticed I was back around my pre-preggo weight but my body was still very different. Unfortunatly I have regained weight but thats another issue. Make sure you are eating enough too, I think your body needs a little more time to recover and adjust.

Re: Feeling bad about my postpartum weight loss
It will happen. your baby is only 7 weeks. Remember it took 9 months to gain. It has to take more than 7 weeks to come off.
