PP Weight loss Question-Please help!!
Ok here's the situation I am trying to figure out
My baby girl is due 5/5/06, a very organized bride is having me order my bridesmaid dress for her wedding in Sept by March 1st.(I have no choice, she's nuts :)) Here is the dress.
The Dress
I will be about 8 months pg when I order, 3 months PP when I need to do alteration in August.
I checked the Bill Levkoff size charts and I prob a size 12-14 right now, Do you think if I order a size 10 I should be able to fit into it 3 months PP? (I gained about 29 lbs already, almost 30 weeks)
PLease help!! Thank you!!

I would honestly suggest ordering a bigger size and then having it altered down if necessary. Trust me, I had to get a dress made bigger because of my pregnancy, and it was a PAIN IN THE NECK -- it's a lot easier to order bigger and have it altered down.

Re: PP Weight loss Question-Please help!!
I had the same situation for my sisters wedding, I had my DD in July and my sisters wedding was in Nov. So I just ordered the largest size they had so I didnt have to worry about it being to small or to big, and then she just took my measurements closer to the wedding and it was fine, I didnt have a problem. I wouldnt pick a size thinking thats what you may be closer to the wedding cause if it doesnt fit they cant make it bigger. I would order the biggest size they have. I hope this helps!

Definitely order the bigger size!!! You will probably loose a bunch of the weight but your body will be different from what you remember it as being. the 10 may not fit right but a 12-14 they can alter it to fit you, not try to make you fit something.

Re: PP Weight loss Question-Please help!!
I had the same situation - I was about 7 months pregnant when I had to order a bridesmaid dress for a wedding that is 5 months post-partum. I ordered two sizes up just in case, and as it turns out, I lost all the pregnancy weight within 10 weeks and now I have to spend OODLES and OODLES of money on altering this damn dress... are you planning on breastfeeding? If so, you'll probably be suprised at how quickly the weight will come off... just something to keep in mind!

Oh I do plan on breastfeeding! I gained about 30lbs at about 30 weeks, and I figure I will gain about another 10lbs til 40 weeks
How much weight average comes off in that 1st 6 weeks?

Truly embarrasing to admit, but I gained over 45lbs in my pregnancy, so never fear. I think I lost about 35lbs by 6 weeks... just keep in mind though that every woman's body reacts differently to the breastfeeding. For myself, I know that the weight just came right off very quickly...and now I seriously regret that I have to spend so much money on altering this stupid dress!

It's so hard to predict how are bodies will react! Hopefully since the weight came on real quick it will come off just as fast.
